Yale announced it is reinstating its standardized testing policy that requires students to submit either ACT or SAT scores. This move was not unexpected. According to Yale college dean Pericles, Lewis, ACT and SAT scores are strong, predictors of a student future Yale academic performance, and, when considered thoughtfully as part of a whole person review, they can help identify, well-prepared candidates, especially those from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Columbia University and Princeton University are following suit beginning with the 2027 admission cycle. Other top-tiercolleges that require SAT or ACT include MIT, Stanford, Caltech, Georgetown, Johns Hopkins, Carnegie Mellon, Georgia Tech, UT Austin, Purdue, and many more.  Full list below:
